The Prime Minister today called a snap General Election to be held on the 8th June.
This is a chance for voters in Wales and the UK to change the direction of our country and prevent a disastrous, self-harming and unnecessary hard Brexit.
The Liberal Democrats are standing on a clear platform to protect the local economy by keeping us in the Single Market, and to give the British people the final say on the Brexit deal through a referendum.
When given the chance to vote for a second referendum, or a praliamentary ratification of the deal, our Carmarthenshire Plaid MP Jonathan Edwards abstained, knowing that this was effectively handing over a free reign to Teresa May.
We already know how Wales will miss out from EU programmes.
The Liberal Democrats are the real opposition to the Conservative Brexit Government and the only party who puts their money where their mouth is in fighting for a Britain that is open, tolerant and united.
For all those who want to protect our local economy by staying in the Single Market and ensure the people have the final say over what comes next, this is your chance.
