Trouble Ahead – Stand Up for Equality and Be Counted

The Last Krystallos

There is trouble ahead – times of turmoil, division,
and loss of liberties are invading our lives.
What will we do about it?

I’m not getting into politics or policy – I’m assuming we all know what is going on throughout the Western World right now – if you don’t, you can scroll Twitter Trends or check out your Facebook newsfeed, or search #Trump for that.

I’ve got friends who have stepped back from politics because they are overwhelmed with the current state of affairs, and others who are steppingforward to fight for their rights and their beliefs. Neither response is wrong, but if we really want to prevent inequality then we need to stand up and be counted.

  1. I just read an article that pointed to the ongoing stream of tweets, over-the-top threats of policy and procedure changes (retracted subsequently), etc. etc. etc. in the short time since The Trumpet took office, as a plan designed to overwhelm “the opposition” – forcing the Democratic Party leaders to pick their battles and to wear out the populace, so that good men, in fact, do nothing because they aren’t sure what to do.

As long as we continue to sing out, regardless of which elements we object to, if this does turn out to be strategy, it won’t land as neatly as he’d hoped.

    1. Right with you on this! I’ve read several similar articles, Madelyn, and it really does look like he’s swamping us with Executive Orders and policy, and then retracting. I do believe you’re right, it’s a dangerous game and he’s testing the waters, which means we mustn’t become complacent, we can’t accept this as the norm, and we keep fighting his underhand strategies!

      1. Something is seriously wrong with my comment feed. I’ve seen this twice now – and earlier this evening (3:30 AM now here) it didn’t come up at all, so I’m playing catch up with all the comments I’ve missed while the WordPress Gremlins [sort of] figured out what they did.

I guess I’d better jump over to see if my comments are even posting!
