The Skewer can remember politicians who got into office by trying to do something good. People like Tony Blair and Barack Obama. Odd that Obama was fought so bitterly by many republicans for trying to protect poor people’s health. Odd too that people seem to have forgotten all the good that Blair did with the Health service and education (e.g. actually investing in these) and the peace he helped build in Northern Ireland.
Two fine examples of humanity met up at ‘Trump Towers’ this week. Presumably to hone their lying to the electorate skills.
After all these are the chaps who said ‘we’re going to build a wall across the Mexican border and make Mexico pay’ and ‘let’s get out of the European Union, that will be a great idea’ respectively.
When Trump is not grabbing people or building golf courses, or running for President on a relentless tide of lies and nonsense, how does he relax, the Skewer wonders?
We all know how Farage relaxes. By drinking half a Photo Op Pint (TM) in a Real Man’s Pub (TM) with his Man of the People (TM) smile. It’s a shame he’s got a Face a Mother Couldn’t Love (TM) and less style sense than Elton John at a birthday party.
